R.A.D.S- Relationships

This lesson we focused on relationships sector of R.A.D.S in movement. There are many keywords that revolve around the word Relationships. They are the following. Side-by-side Waiting Back-to-back One behind the other Mirror Unison Canon Interaction Answer and Question Lead + Follow Passing Contrast We was given the task of working in pairs to create a small movement piece incorporating these key words into our movements, Our stimulus was a phrase "The breakdown of a relationship"  I was paired with Henri. We both decided that we should come up with a movement piece first before we add music, This way we could decide the emotion and pace with the music separately, as long as we had a base idea. We tried to incorporate each keyword into our movements. After lots of decisions we made a list of movements. Here is the list below: Here is the video of our performance:  As you can see in the video we tried to focus and include every key word of relati

R.A.D.S- Dynamics

This lesson involved us composing the final product of our movement piece- putting together every pairs' own movement and incorporating them into our main task. As we are focusing on Dynamics in this lesson it is essential that we have a full understanding of what we are actually creating. To make it easier for us to understand our director developed a sheet with key terms that branched off with other key terms- in pairs we had to come up with what movement suited what key term. We collected our ideas in and this is the result. Flow: Free It was decided that the move where we swing our arms is an example of a free movement in dynamics- I have to agree with this as your arms move based solely on the direction your body is moving, therefore your arms loose and free to move in the motion your body is moving Bound The movement we picked for bound was the matrix, mine and Alice's action. The move is continuous and sustained as we all move as one. Weigh
